Section 48

In Voluntary Aided Muslim Schools, the distinctiveness of religious education and the school's contribution to a child's spiritual development are inspected under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005 and the school's governing body has responsibility for selecting inspectors of denominational religious education and collective worship. AMSUK provides trained independent inspectors to conduct Section 48 inspections. In so doing, it gives all Muslims schools access to a rigorous, reliable, valid and effective inspection process, delivered under the AMSUK Framework designed by Muhammad Ismail, Lead Inspector and Lead Imam.
