Services available to AMS UK member schools: 

 

§  CRB checks for staff at ‘membership rates’.

 

§  The Schools Improvement Partner visits are available to member schools where senior management with Muslim Schools background will visit, evaluate and set a plan of action for the member school who requests it.  There is a charge for this, but it is only open to member schools.

 

§  Representation with the DCSF if required.

 

§  Facilitation of VA applications, i.e. applying for state funding.

 

§  QTS Assessment Route Only Courses for unqualified staff. Applicants from member schools must have 2 years teaching experience and a degree.  Places are limited but there will be more available the new academic year.

 

§  Bridge Schools Inspectorate, only AMS member schools can become part of the BSI which will inspect your school under the supervision of Ofsted, aside from the financial benefit of instalment payments and cheaper rates than Ofsted the BSI has Muslim Inspectors who have a wealth of experience in inspecting Muslim Schools.

 

§  NPQH Subsidy Scheme, only senior management in AMS member schools are eligible to apply for the one third subsidy for the National Professional Qualification for Headship, the nationally accredited Headteachers qualification course run by the National College of School Leadership (NCSL).  The total cost of the course is £3,800.

 

§  CPD, INSETs and Teacher Training.  Your school will be assigned a Regional Hub Co-Ordinator who will consult with yourself and other schools in your area before planning teacher training workshops for you and your staff.
