Benefits of the Awards
The AMS UK Awards have several benefits. They will help to:
- Increase staff morale in school
- Formally recognise excellent work in your school
- Raise the profile of winning schools through the media
- Honour individuals and schools at an awards presentation at the National AMS UK Conference
Award Prizes
School of the Year:            A glass trophy & £1000.
Transformational Leader of the Year:    A glass trophy & £750.
Teacher of the Year:            A glass trophy & £500.
Non-Teaching Staff of the Year:         A glass trophy & £250.
How to nominate for an AMS UK Award
Anyone from the school community i.e. parent, student, volunteer, member of staff, Governor or Headteacher can nominate a person or school for an AMS UK Award. This is done simply by completing and submitting the application form by Thursday 1st March 2012.

Judging
All entries will be considered by a panel of judges consisting of 3 neutral senior officials selected by AMS UK;
- Mufti Hamid Patel (Lead Judge)
- Qari Mohammed Ismail
- Tahir Alam
The panel of judges is appointed by AMS UK and all of its decisions are independent of the awards’ administration. The judges' decision will be final and AMSUK will not enter into any discussion or correspondence concerning the results. Where necessary shortlisted nominees may be visited by a member of the judging panel. * As much evidence as possible mentioned in each category needs to be attached to the nomination form. Those nominating may include up to 3 additional pieces of supporting evidence such as; newspaper articles, parent/staff/pupil testimonials, photos etc. Where necessary shortlisted nominees may be visited by a member of the judging panel. ** Organisations sponsoring the awards are not eligible to apply for the awards. ***In order for the Association to increase the number of schools and individuals it recognizes an award winner is not eligible to be nominated in the same award category for the next 2 award ceremonies.

- Winners announced at the AMSUK Annual Conference on Saturday 24th March 2012
